Hotel Guests Are Rude!

Except me, of course.

Well, not here, not now, anyway. Maybe once I was rude in a hotel, but that was a long time ago, and I was a kid.

Karma?

Probably.

I am in a hotel in Greenville, NC, at a fire conference for Fire Life Safety Educators. I am staying on the second floor of the hotel, just a few feet from the elevators. The elevators are fairly quiet, but the yo-yo's who stand outside waiting for them sure aren't. It's as if the room (clearly marked, by the way, with a room number and a door) isn't even there. (Trust me. It is. I am inside, trying to block out the noise by turning up the TV.)

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but next time you're in a hotel, consider those folks whose room is near the elevators.

On behalf of all of them, I thank you.

(Then again, I did let the stairwell door slam several times, which is right outside a room. However, since I have the capacity to change, I closed the door slowly the last times I went through it.)

Karma.

Maybe.

See you on Superbowl Sunday!

GO BIG BLUE!
