...is mostly history. Here in the southeast, we will see at least six more weeks of winter.
That is, if you can call this winter.
This winter (and I use that term very loosely) has produced no snow, it hasn't been really cold, and sometimes, it got downright balmy. (Today, for instance, was around 70 degrees!) If you think, by the way, that I am complaining about that, you are wrong. Very wrong.
In a previous posting, I mentioned how I do not like the cold weather. These next six weeks should be a breeze, even if several groundhogs like Punxsutawney Phil, Sir Walter Wally and others saw their shadows.
From the research I have done (unscientifically, of course) I have found that the track record for the Marmota monax, has been less than stellar. But even if the rodent's get it wrong, I gotta' say, the party they throw in Punxsutawney, PA looks like a blast!
