If It's My Blog...

...And I make the rules, is cheating really cheating?

Here's what I am talking about.  See, I have challenged myself (with the help of others) to blog at least once a day, for the next year.  Sounds easy, right?  Sure.  Just sit down at the ol' keyboard, and just start typing away; letting all the ideas in my head just flow through the brain, down the arms, into the fingers and then onto the screen.  Couldn't be easier, right?

Sometimes it works that way, except when I can't come up with any ideas.

Like last night, for example.  I was really tired after a short (but long) week, and just didn't have the energy.  So I politely asked Megan if she would kindly blog for me (because, after all, she said she would help) and she immediately growled at me, and said, "no way, mister.  This is YOUR project."  She then proceeded to swear up and down that I do nothing around the house, and why should she have to do anything over and beyond what she already does, and blah, blah, blah and yak, yak, yak.  Okay -- see there I go again...Cheating.  She actually said none of that.  But that brings me back to cheating.

So I am sitting here on Saturday morning, attempting to post a post that will say it was posted on Friday, when, in all actuality, it was posted on Saturday.

So, is that cheating?  Technically, yes, I suppose that it is, and I will have to live with this transgression for the rest of my days.  However, if the calendar on the post says Friday, did I really cheat?

And maybe, after all of this, I really DID  post on Friday, and this was all a clever ruse on my part?

Or is it?
