Last Day...

...of class.

I have spent the last four days in Greenville, NC, away from Megan, Jonah, Josh and Eli.  It is not without guilt or a twinge of regret that I did this, but, on the other hand, I have really wanted to do what I did for a very long time.

I became certified as a North Carolina Fire Life Safety Educator Level I.

That is, of course, assuming I passed all the tests in the three classes I took.  Won't find that out for some time.  I still have two more levels to go, but what I learned here will help me tremendously in my job, and in the lives of those I teach.  That's important to me, because education is the key.  If I can help one person to learn the effectiveness of how to use a fire extinguisher, or how to install a smoke detector properly, then my job is done, and my time was well spent.

Megan is truly understanding and is super supportive, so knowing that made my time here that much easier.  However, being away from my family was extremely difficult.

I am very much looking forward to being home tomorrow.

See you then.
