...to both thank and welcome any new readers (who will hopefully become subscribers) to this blog.
It started a few years ago, when someone somewhere on these here Interwebs challenged other people to blog each day for a month. I took that challenge, and ran with it. Thanks to my brother in law, who set me up with a site, I was off and running. (Typing, actually.) It wasn't easy, but I am happy to say I did it. Not long after, another challenge was issued. This time, I committed to blogging each day for a year. With the exception of two of those days that year, I blogged each day. And now, I am doing it again.
Why? Why post something everyday for 365 days a year, when I could be doing something much more valuable with my time, like cleaning, or sleeping or cleaning? Really it's because my good friend Jason, his wife Sara and my wife Megan all thought I should do it again. And this time, Megan said she would help. (She already has. Search the blog and see! Or, read.)
But it's February 9th 2012. Haven't you missed the entire month of January and nine days of February? Nope. I decided not to let the cat (or the words) out of the bag until I was sure that I could commit to this again. So, I have been dutifully blogging since January 1st 2012, and I don't plan on stopping until December 31st, 2012. (That is of course, all depending on that thing with the Mayan calendar.)
