I don't have Jonah's sketch of his cake, but the basic concept is that it would look like a screen shot of a castle level in Super Mario. I was a bit nervous about my ability to pull this one off, but I managed a great "canvas"...
And then it was time to get started. I planned out the scene and began drawing it out on the cake.
I was fairly confident with the background images, but I was very worried about adding in Mario and Luigi. I still think I could have brought in more detail, but I think for my first attempt at "drawing" human figures with frosting, it was a success.
And the most important thing is...Jonah was very happy with the finished product. Look for pictures of his party tomorrow!
